Lesouple - Biography / Discography
My name is Kana Bukuru Lesouple and I was born from the union of a Burundian father and a Belgian mother. At the age of nine I began to sing, and play around with the guitar. I acquired a liking for the guitar, and we’ve never parted since that time. During a ten year period, beginning in 1992, I began playing and singing with different pop, rhythm ’n blues, jazz, funk, soul ”cover” groups. It was in 2000 that I seriously stated composing music, however
in 2002, during one of my singing classes with Gyle Waddy, who by the way has a
solid artistic career behind him that he proposed that we collaborate together
i.e. that I put music to his lyrics and sing them. This album is dedicated to Olivier Damers 11 October 1967 to 20 June 2006 , who recorded this album, however he died before it could be completed.
Everywhere The Wind Blows "Everywhere The Wind Blows" is a double CD album. On CD 1 there is the soft voix of Kana Bukuru Lesouple singing thriteen different songs. The songs range from the Zen like meditative song "Dhāranī" through the moving up tempo "Everywhere The Wind Blows" to "We" the last song on the album which is a reality-minded song. Cd 2 are all the same songs but without the voice. This instrumental CD is very warm and soothing. email: music@elyts-music.com
